Coastal Waters Forecast for New South Wales

and maximum waves may be up to twice the height.

WARNINGS

Strong Wind Warning south of Ulladulla.

Synoptic Situation 3:00 am AEST Monday

A high in the Tasman Sea extends a ridge to the far north coast. A low 1019 hpa

in eastern Bass Strait will move further east and extend a southerly change

along the south and central coasts today.

Weather

Isolated showers developing on the south coast.

Far North Coastal Waters: Qld - NSW border to Wooli and 60nm seawards

Monday until midnight: Wind: W/NW 5/10 knots at first tending N/NE about 10

knots in the afternoon. Sea: about 1 metre. Swell: S/SE 1.5 metres.

Tuesday: Wind: SW 10/15 knots, tending S/SE 15/20 knots in the afternoon. Sea:

1 metre rising 1.5 to 2 metres. Swell: S/SE 2 metres.

Mid North Coastal Waters: Wooli to Seal Rocks and 60nm seawards

Monday until midnight: Wind: SW/NW about 10 knots ahead of a S/SE change 10/15

knots in the afternoon in south. NE 5/10 knots in north in the afternoon. Sea:

1 to 1.5 metres. Swell: S/SE 1.5 metres.

Tuesday: Wind: S/SW 10/15 knots freshening to 15/20 knots in the morning, then

tending S/SE 15/20 knots in the afternoon. Sea: 1 to 2 metres. Swell: S/SE 2

metres.

Hunter Coastal Waters: Seal Rocks to Broken Bay and 60nm seawards

Monday until midnight: Wind: SW/NW 10/15 knots ahead of a S'ly change 10/15

knots late morning/early afternoon, then tending S/SE 10/15 knots. Sea: 1 to

1.5 metres. Swell: S/SE 1.5 metres.

Tuesday: Wind: S/SW 15/20 knots, tending S/SE 10/15 knots in the afternoon.

Sea: 1.5 to 2 metres abating 1 to 1.5 metres. Swell: S/SE 2 to 2.5 metres

decreasing to 1.5 to 2 metres.

Sydney Coastal Waters: Broken Bay to Port Hacking and 60nm seaward

Monday until midnight: Wind: W/SW 10/15 knots ahead of a S/SW change 10/15

knots in the morning, then tending S/SE 10/15 knots in the afternoon. Sea: 1

metre rising 1 to 1.5 metres in the afternoon. Swell: S/SE 1.5 to 2 metres.

Tuesday: Wind: S/SW 15/20 knots, tending SE 10/15 knots in the afternoon. Sea:

1.5 to 2 metres abating 1 to 1.5 metres. Swell: S/SE 2 to 2.5 metres decreasing

to 1.5 to 2 metres.

Sydney Closed Waters: Pittwater, Port Jackson, Botany Bay

Monday until midnight: Wind: W/SW about 10 knots ahead of a S/SW change 10/15

knots in the morning, then tending S/SE 10/15 knots in the afternoon. Waters:

Slight.

Tuesday: Wind: S/SW 15/20 knots, tending SE 10/15 knots in the afternoon.

Waters: Choppy abating to slight.

Illawarra Coastal Waters: Port Hacking to Ulladulla and 60nm seaward

Monday until midnight: Wind: S/SW 10/15 knots, tending S/SE 15/20 knots in the

afternoon. Sea: 1 to 1.5 metres rising 1.5 to 2 metres in the afternoon.

Swell: S/SE 1.5 to 2 metres.

Tuesday: Wind: S/SW 15/20 knots, tending SE 10/15 knots in the afternoon. Sea:

1.5 to 2 metres abating 1 to 1.5 metres. Swell: S/SE 2 to 2.5 metres

decreasing 1.5 to 2 metres.

South Coastal Waters: Ulladulla to Gabo Island and 60nm seaward

Monday until midnight: Wind: S/SW 10/15 knots in the north grading to 20/25

knots in the south, strengthening to S 20/30 knots in the south this morning,

extending to the north in the afternoon, then easing to 15/20 knots in the south

in the evening. Sea: 1.5 to 2.5 metres, rising 2 to 3 metres, then abating 1.5

to 2 metres in south tonight. Swell: S/SE about 2 metres.

Tuesday: Wind: SW/SE 15/20 knots in north and 10/15 knots in south tending

SE/NE 10/15 knots in the afternoon. Sea: 1.5 to 2 metres abating 1 to 1.5

metres. Swell: S/SE 2 to 2.5 metres decreasing 1.5 to 2 metres.
